As we celebrate All Saints Day, may we be inspired by the Saints’ example. We are blessed to have art around our campus celebrating numerous Saints. St. Thomas More was born in London on February 7th, 1478. He became a lawyer. He was eventually made Lord Chancellor; he was a strong defender of the Catholic faith; he died July 6th, 1535. He is the patron saint of adopted children, lawyers, civil servants, politicians and difficult marriages. The statue that sits outside the Benedictine Library was created by Bernard Schmidt, who taught sculpture classes here at Thomas More. St. Carlos Acutis was born on May 3rd, 1991. He had a love for Mass and the Eucharist. He made a website of Eucharistic miracles. He was diagnosed with leukemia at 15 and died October 12, 2006.
