CHS Robotics will again host its annual invitational this weekend as 30 teams from throughout Western New York and beyond participate in the Canisius High School 2026 VEX V5 Push Back Robotics Competition. Schools from Erie, Niagara, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua and Allegany counties, as well as Chittenango High School of the Syracuse area and four teams from Montreal’s Collège Sainte-Marcelline will be competing to earn a spot in state competition in March. CHS will field six teams in the competition. The Crusaders have been working every day after school since September, designing, building and coding their robots in preparation for the strategic contests, in which four robots take to an arena at the same time as teams try to earn the most points via various challenges. All are welcome to attend the event, which will be held in the unique setting of historic Scaccia Auditorium.
