Ever feel like your sports portraits look solid… but not unforgettable? Here’s one way I push a portrait from standard to eye-catching 👀 In this Reel I’m using two simple but powerful techniques behind the scenes:
• Colored lighting to add depth, contrast, and energy. A subtle pop of color with westcottlighting flexigels can completely change the mood without overpowering the athlete.
• Atmosphere to create separation and drama. A layer of atmosphere spray, or when possible you can use a smoke machine, helps the light and color show up in the air, adding that feel that makes portraits pop.
