19 year old Roberto Farias Tomaz had set out on a New Year's Day hike in Brazil with friends when he became separated from his group. The incident prompted a massive search and rescue operation undertaken by Paraná Military Fire Department, lasting 5 days. During this time Roberto miraculously survived without food or water and ultimately found help at a farm after hiking through gruelling terrain.
