“If you were to put it on a single bookshelf, the records would extend to 20km. That’s 20km of history of this University...It’s filled with people, people who have gone on to change the world.”   Our Principal, Prof Andy Schofield, took a walk through our fantastic archives, revisiting moments and members of our community who have helped shape the University of Glasgow. These included the Papal Bull that was signed in 1451, Lord Kelvin’s enrolment record, James McCune Smith’s medical certificate, and many more.   We are proud to celebrate our 575th Birthday and our whole UofG community around the world.
