The New Jersey Department of Health said Friday, Jan. 9, that a child under 5 years old, with no known comorbidities, died this week from the flu. NJDOH said the child is from the northern part of the state in an announcement that also urged people to get vaccinated against the flu and other viruses like RSV and COVID-19.
