London marathon what an event! To watch so many people show up for themselves after such a long time training, is an absolute privilege! What a wonderful day. It’s a given that you’ll see people concur a mammoth mission, but what you don’t know if you haven’t been is the atmosphere is incredible. You’ll witness humans experience every emotion under the sun, both as a runner and a spectator. At mile 19 we saw people power run, walk, smile, cry, ask the crowd to pump them up, accept salt from strangers, laser focus. Incredible costumes, extreme resilience, supports screaming, hilarious signs, runners get reenergised from the crowd, it’s a magical day. This one felt particularly brutal in the heat, even I was sweating and the most I did was clap.
