Van living day 4. To swim or not to swim I can see the comments now- you wasted your time, that guy was minding his own business, not the man vs bear debate again, you would have been fine etc 80% of me thinks if I had stripped off (to my bikini), left my stuff on the beach, and gone for a swim, both myself, Roo and my stuff would have been absolutely fine. However, because I’m travelling solo, And I have to walk back to my van by myself, I am hyper vigilant. I was nervous about travelling by myself as a woman especially and none of those worries have eased at all. So I’m currently not putting myself in vulnerable positions to ease those anxieties. There’s also a situation where if anything bad happened to me or my stuff at least one person would have said, well of course what did you expect.
