I wanted to post this as my conclusion to 2025 because I don’t think people truly understand what it means to me to have graduated from uofmichigan 〽️I came from a highschool where no one gets into michigan and if you do you fall into the category where you can’t afford to go. I wrote my college essay about feeling so lost in my own skin… I wanted to find my identity away from my small hometown, my skin color, my hair, my thrift store clothes, my low income free meals, my 2005 nissan altima that broke down everyday, my social media, my fake smile when people tell me i’m doing good because it didn’t feel like it… I wanted to find who i was no matter how challenging that may be. I never felt like I fit in anywhere but saying Go Blue gave me a sense of community I could never understand but will forever be blessed to have.
