The Jan. 10 visit comes days after the fatal shooting of Renee Good by ICE agent Jonathan Ross, leading to days of protest in Minneapolis. The congresswomen said they were invited to tour the facility by a former acting director but were denied after their arrival about 9:30 a.m. But inside the Whipple Federal Building, they were told the offer was rescinded, Omar said.
