Get plenty of physical activity — at least 30 minutes a day, five days a week. 2. Eat a healthy diet and limit salt intake, which can cause blood pressure spikes. 3. Maintain a healthy weight. 4. If you smoke, quit. 5. Know your cholesterol, blood pressure and blood sugar levels.
