One of our survivors was rushed to the hospital alone after the abuse inflicted by her partner, and her story is not an isolated one. We try to be there to walk beside survivors through emergencies, check-ups, and counseling appointments. We sit with them in waiting rooms, hold their hands, give a smile, and help them navigate systems they shouldn’t have to face alone.
