Catch Jupiter looking like the year ahead—big and bright 😎
On Saturday, Jan. 10, Jupiter will be at opposition, meaning that Earth will sit directly between it and the Sun. During this time, Jupiter will look larger and more luminous than it will for the rest of the year!
To get a chance to see Jupiter at its best, look to the eastern sky—it will be visible in the constellation Gemini soon after sunset, rising into the sky throughout the night. The planet will be one of the brightest objects in the sky (third to only the Moon and Venus), so you can’t miss it!
