for like two weeks now it has felt like there is a block of concrete in my right thumb so i thought for #techniquetuesday it would be best to get to the bottom of that whilst deeply pondering the issue at hand (hehe) i realized i often crank my soulja thumb back towards the big knuckle of my index finger which adds a looooot of tension to the base of my prized appendage, as scott tennant calls it in pumping nylon. vid 1 is ya boy bringing his thumb in more towards the tip joint of his index finger. im holding the fist i make when i bring everything in like you would hold a contraction in exercise. vid 2 is me trying to apply that work and the awareness of better thumb movement to something someone actually might wanna listen to. as a general observation the bass voice is a lot more present in the texture having gone through this process than it was before. imagine that. * * * #techniquetuesday #technique #itsmorethanscales #guitar #classicalguitar #fingerstyleguitar #nylonguitar #cl...
