Lawyer and activist Fred Gray defended Claudette Colvin and Rosa Parks against charges of disorderly conduct for refusing to give up their seats to white passengers during the Montgomery Bus Boycott. Gray’s legal council helped challenge the Alabama state laws that mandated segregation on buses in the case Browder v. Gayle. In November 1956, the Supreme Court affirmed that racial segregation on public transportation was unconstitutional. #SaveaSeat #tarc #transitauthorityofrivercity #louisville #louisvilleky #ky #kentucky #do502 #GoSoIn
