EXTENDED DEADLINE: We have extended the deadline for Composing Inclusion to Thursday, March 24 at 11:59pm Central! We invite artists who enjoy working with young people and identify as Black or Latina/e/o/x to apply to create flex compositions with students from The Juilliard School’s Preparatory Division and New York Philharmonic musicians. 9 creators will receive commissions of $5,000 each for chamber works and $10,000 each for orchestral works. The commissioned works will be developed in collaboration with Juilliard students and Philharmonic artists over the course of several months; all will receive New York side-by-side premieres. This program is made possible with support from a Sphinx Venture Fund grant.
