ACF is thrilled to announce that Oakland-based artist Julie Herndon has been awarded our first Bay Area Composer Residency award! Herndon will receive $10,000 to organize and lead SoundVoice, a collaboration with Code Tenderloin, based in San Francisco. During the summer of 2020, Herndon will work with the homeless community in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood to workshop and create a multimedia concert featuring the stories of the participants.
