The Fred Meyer grocery store in Washington that sold the winning Powerball jackpot ticket of $754.6 million, the fifth largest in its history, is donating its lottery reward to a food bank.
The Auburn store was rewarded with a $50,000 check from the lottery commission for selling the winning ticket last week. The donation will provide about 66,000 meals, according to a joint statement from the store and food bank.
