Funny Story: The reprise of “Falling for Ya” (Teen Beach 2) almost didn’t happen because they didn’t know if I could sing in CheeChee’s voice/accent. They were “unsure if it would work.” But I knew it would. So with ten minutes before pick up (I was filming Pitch Perfect 2 at the time), I grabbed my laptop, shut myself in my hotel bathroom, and sang #ProudMary by #TinaTurner to prove it. Once and acapella (very apropos). And guess what... it worked! 😝 Here, I set that “demo” to bits from the actual musical number we filmed for the movie. Just a little reminder (to myself and anyone who needs it), sometimes... you just gotta show’em 💃🏽
