Personally, I think that the best weapon of a photographer is patience, especially when photographing animals. Knowing how to predict the animal's behaviour is also a great help, I am lucky enough to work in one of the best zoos in the world and I can observe them every day, which makes my job easier. Looking into the eyes of the animals is always something magical and when you have great lighting conditions, I think you've pretty much won.
