The shameful miscarriage of justice in Minneapolis for Renee Nicole Good reminds us why this work matters. It doesn’t have to happen in our city. It doesn’t matter that it was an adult and not a child. Our focus is youth justice, but at its core, this work is about freedom, dignity, and care for people who are too often treated as disposable. ICE is still in NOLA. Many of the kids we represent are from vulnerable black and brown communities. Moments like this only make us stand firmer in our principles.
