Men’s Member-Guest at National With uncertain weather predicted for the weekend, it was looking doubtful that 45 holes and a shootout would be completed in this year’s edition of Men’s Member-Guest. However, our determined grounds crew prepared the way each morning for the championship. The professional staff adjusted the scheduled to include 36 holes on Friday and our members and guests battled the elements for a chance to make Saturday’s shootout. The tournament began with a practice round on Thursday followed by games on the patio. Friday’s 36 were completed in high winds and off and on rain. Come Saturday morning, the majority of the rain had already fallen. 9 holes were left and our players navigated their way to the shootout. 15 teams of 2 alternated shots through a combination of holes on Grant, Meade and Sherman.
