It looks like portilloshotdogs isn’t coming to Las Vegas — at least not anytime soon. After announcing expansion plans in 2023 and projecting a path toward 900+ locations nationwide, the rollout hasn’t gone as planned, with some newer markets underperforming. From a consumer perspective, Las Vegas makes perfect sense. The aesthetic fits Vegas. The food hits an affordable price point this city desperately needs right now/ And Portillo’s is known for treating and paying its employees well. But from an economic perspective, Vegas is a tough entry with higher build costs, labor, and real estate.
