2025 was the third-warmest year on record globally, following the record-breaking heat of 2023 and 2024, according to data from the latest Copernicus report.⁣ ⁣ While slightly cooler than 2023 and 2024, temperatures remained exceptionally high.⁣ ⁣ 2024 still holds the record as the warmest year ever and the first to clearly exceed 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.⁣ ⁣ The global average temperature reached 14.97°C, around 1.47°C above pre-industrial levels, placing 2025 firmly among the top three warmest years ever recorded.⁣ ⁣ Europe also experienced its third-warmest year on record.
