A few weeks back, Eric was testing the Nikon 800mm PF lens with the Nikon 1.4 TC on his Nikon Z7ii. To say the combination is sharp is a severe understatement. “This photo was taken just above the minimum focus distance for the lens - about 17 feet. The bird was at my feeder - and the angle was selected for best lighting. He was using Dynamic AF for added precision. Exposure settings were 1/1250 sec, ISO 1250, and f/9.
