The main space for the African American Cultural Center is called the Living Room for a reason: It's home. Graduate student Korie Roane and out-of-state student Lexi Grant found community with the NC State African American Cultural Center, where they now cultivate community as student leaders. Inside Witherspoon Student Center — named for the first African American professor at NC State, Augustus Witherspoon — the AACC is home to study spaces, a library of Black-authored books, an art gallery, a meditation room and more. Visit their website for events like Harambee! and BLDOC happening throughout year, including many this month centered around this year’s #NCStateBHM theme — “Black Euphoria: Just B.E.”
