Ingrid Villaseñor was passionate about her cause: helping vulnerable families in Panajachel, Guatemala break the cycle of poverty. What she lacked was a well-defined plan to ensure her nonprofit Tejiendo Futuros (Weaving Futures) could make an impact. For that, Villaseñor got some help from Project Managers Without Borders (PMWB), which has given an impressive 2,210 hours to projects that support U.N. Sustainable Development goals. In Villaseñor’s case, that meant working to develop a strategy to better communicate the group’s services. Volunteers also assisted her in founding an agroecological farm to provide food—and income—to the community.
