Repost from marlboru_ A big day today… Setting off on a 7000km+ crossing of Australia. I’ve dreamed and dreamed and dreamed of this country for so long, and to finally set off from Perth with my bearings set east feels like a huge step. I’m not sure exactly the route I’ll take, my original one might be off the cards due to some big rain damaging the graded roads of the red centre, but I hope they’ll dry out and be in rideable condition by the time I arrive. I’ve met some amazing people in Perth, been shown incredible hospitality and welcome and it’s filled me with the inspiration and drive I need to make it across to the east.
