In early May, skier Tonje Kvivik’s (tonjekvivik) ‘24-’25 season wrapped after a cloud-filled attempt at the Whitemantle Traverse. The trip represented an evolution in her ability to navigate and mitigate risk in big, complex terrain, but there was little time to reflect: Her master's thesis in cybersecurity was due in 12 days.
