In early May, skier Tonje Kvivik’s (tonjekvivik) ‘24-’25 season wrapped after a cloud-filled attempt at the Whitemantle Traverse. The trip represented an evolution in her ability to navigate and mitigate risk in big, complex terrain, but there was little time to reflect: Her master's thesis in cybersecurity was due in 12 days. She hopped on a plane, broke her computer screen on the way, and finally made it back home to Norway to accept her degree.⁣ ⁣ She was 18 months removed from double ACL surgery, and just one month removed from life-changing lines with Craig Murray (weazydavis) in Haines, Alaska.⁣ ⁣ How would Tonje describe last season? “Eventful.” What’s she looking forward to this season? “Keep jumping on every opportunity!”⁣ ⁣ #arcteryx
