Jessica Moretti, a co-owner of the Swiss ski bar where a fire killed 40 people and injured 116 others on New Year's Day, has apologised to victims.
Mrs Moretti and her husband - Jacques Moretti, who has been detained - are suspected of manslaughter by negligence, bodily harm by negligence and arson by negligence.
The decision to detain Mr Moretti came after they were both questioned on Friday - under Swiss law, the subject of an investigation is kept in custody until a court decision is made within 48 hours.
The co-owners had earlier said they were "devastated", pledging "full co-operation" with the ongoing investigation.
