➡️WHY WE MOVED TO MIAMI 👀🌴[Save + Share] After nearly 7 years in NYC (and 18 months of full-time travel), we often get asked why we chose to make Miami our new home base. Especially when neither one of us is American and we’ve spent over a decade living and working in Europe (London/France/Amsterdam/Berlin), Asia (Hong Kong), and Latin America (Mexico). While the weather was a contributing factor to our Florida move, the following reasons also played a major role: 1. No state income tax which equals big savings (very important since we have technically retired early/are part of the FIRE movement) 2. Cheaper real estate than NYC/ more affordable investment opportunities 3. More affordable childcare/daycare than NYC (we pay less than half now🙏🏾) 4.
