Scientists demonstrate low-cost, high-quality lenses for super-resolution microscopy. Each lens costs less than USD1 to produce, which could broaden access to fully customizable optical parts and could enable completely new types of imaging tools. This video shows images acquired with the multifocal structured illumination microscope results using the 3D-printed optic and with classical widefield microscopy.
