Happy Friday! It’s a big weekend with the return of the @pgatour at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. If you tune in to the coverage, you might find it looks a little different without grandstands located throughout the course. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Did you know that the 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘧 were constructed in 1941 at Torresdale? The club needed a fence around the perimeter of the property, and Henry Hurst, a member of the club, claimed he could earn enough profit from hosting a tour event to pay for it, and he did! The Henry Hurst Invitational was a huge success as a result of innovative ideas like grandstands and live updated scoreboards by telephone.
