Ever wonder what happens after a patrol deputy takes a crime report? 🔍 Once a report is completed, it’s reviewed and assigned to a detective within our Detective Bureau, where specialized teams take over the investigation: • Robbery / Assault Team • Burglary Team (also handles forgery and fraud cases) • JAG Team – focusing on juvenile- and gang-related investigations Our station also houses investigators from the Narcotics Bureau and Special Victims Bureau. The Special Victims Bureau investigates cases involving child abuse and sexual assault. These teams work diligently to follow up on cases, gather evidence, and pursue leads with the goal of holding offenders accountable and keeping our community safe. #LASD #SCV #FactFriday
