Puck Klaassen became the fifth woman to win a stage at the Dakar Rally after winning Stage 3 in the Challenger class last week. Today, Puck took her second win in Stage 8, just three seconds ahead of Dania Akeel - which was a first for the Dakar Rally with two women in the top two✨ Puck joins Sara Price as a 2026 Dakar Rally Stage winner after Sara won Stage 2 and 6 in the Stock class, in addition to her four previous Stage wins. Jutta Kleinschmidt was the first woman to win a stage at the Dakar Rally in 1997, before becoming the only woman to win the overall event in 2001. Cristina Gutiérrez and Dania Akeel round out the list of five, with six Stage wins for Cristina and one Stage win for Dania.
