today is malcolm x’s birthday. incidentally i just recently finished reading his autobiography, and i learned more about black history in 500 pages than i ever did in school. 🤯 ⁣ ⁣ so many black and brown Americans are misled by information given to us by white systems. malcolm x spent 10 years in prison reading and learning about the truth that later allowed him to preach justice. a revolutionary, no doubt. after reading this i have felt very inspired to dive deep into the truth, to seek information that continues to strengthen my roots, to get it done by any means necessary. ⁣rest in power to a legend. 🖤 #malcolmx #alexhaley #byanymeansnecessary #mustread #quarantinereads
