One person’s trash is another one’s treasure…? 😅Quite the different kind of a curbside pick up 🤪… • Gosh, it’s been AGES since I last posted a #zerowastehaul! This one’s a bit different though 😉. These are things people have thrown out. • In German cities, people sometimes put things they want to get rid of in a box out with a “help yourself” (“zu verschenken”) sign 🪧. • We’ve recently moved, and have been surprised by all the good things people throw out! karmabitezyvr once told us: “The thrift stores in the rich neighborhoods have the best stuff!” Düsseldorf, the city that’s our new home, is known to be a wealthy one. And it does make me think… • In the very short amount of time we’ve lived here, we’ve picked up so much stuff from the curbside. Some from those “help yourself” boxes, some tossed away as trash for bulk waste pickup. From binders to furniture—almost all of it was in better condition than what we have at home 😅. • I’m torn on this one… On one hand I think it’s awes...
