No access to a bulk or
#zerowaste shop? Here are my tips!
β’
π If possible, avoid chains and support local, owner-run shops. The more corporate a store is, the more difficult it is for them to accommodate you!
π Ask your small, local grocery store to order large bulk bags, e.g. 25 lb or 10 kg of staples like rice or oats for you. This will also save you money!
π Ask around, your family or friends might be interested in sharing large bulk bags with you. I once shared a 25 kg (55 lb) bag of baking soda π€ͺ (useful for baking, DIY-ing cleaning and body care products) with a follower and folks from a neighborhood FB group!
π Join a
#CSA (= Community Supported Agriculture) farm. π©βπΎπ§βπΎπ¨βπΎ Members usually share the harvest weekly. Gotta love local and seasonal veggies π₯π₯¬π!!
π In regular grocery stores, opt for
#packagefree produce, soap bars π§Ό (instead of liquid soaps, dish soap, body wash, or shampoo), and larger portions if itβs something you eat/use large quantities of anyway...
