It’s a great appetizer or side dish and this fondue-style cheese sauce is so delicate and so delicious. Also, it requires only two ingredients—heavy cream and cheese.
I used Asiago PDO Fresco, a fresh table cheese that comes from the Alpine plateau of the same name, a semi-hard cheese with an agreeable milky aroma. Perfect for any charcuterie board paired with fruits or chutneys, this cheese is also a nice melting cheese. My fondue sauce is great as a dip or drizzle over vegetables or meat.
