In 2014, Bryce Harper crushed two home runs off Hunter Strickland during the NLDS, with one landing in McCovey Cove. Even though the Giants won the series and the World Series, Strickland never forgot being embarrassed on that stage.
Three years later, he got his revenge. In 2017, Strickland drilled Harper with a 98-mph fastball, and Harper immediately charged the mound, igniting a massive bench-clearing brawl at AT&T Park.
The chaos had serious consequences. During the fight, Michael Morse collided with teammate Jeff Samardzija, suffering a concussion that ended his season and essentially his career. One pitch turned into a moment that changed more than just the game.
