My mom needed help driving and moving, so Cody and I flew to Hawaii for 3 days to help her out with nothing on our agenda but that (and consume as much poke as possible since we did have to eat). We told ourselves if we had time, sure we’ll squeeze something in. Weather was meh most of our time there. But we did kidnap my mom for a few hours and went to go see the lava flow Saturday at Volcano National Park and totally worth the 4+ hr RT drive we did. We took a red eye home Monday night, and only took 1 day of PTO to do this. Will need to go back to Hawaii another time to actually enjoy what the state has to offer.
