Being a college athlete has allowed me to live out my dreams of earning titles like All-American & SEC Player of the Year, while also pursuing a degree from a top university. But being a female athlete is a much different experience than my male counterparts. Women are expected to go above & beyond to get even a fraction of the recognition men’s athletes receive regularly.
