Preliminary autopsy results were released for Johnathan “John John” Boley, the 4-year-old boy who went missing on New Year’s Eve and was found dead days later in a wooded area near his father’s home in Walker County. Johnathan appears to have died of hypothermia and that he died the night he went missing. His father, Jameson Kyle Boley, 40, was arrested on charges unrelated to the disappearance. Explosives were found inside and around Jameson’s home, and charging documents state Jonathan and Isaac, his 6-year-old brother, “had the opportunity” to be exposed to methamphetamine. Sheriff Nick Smith has said there were no immediate signs of foul play, and that it appears the boy wandered off while playing with his brother. However, toxicology results are not yet available.
