ejae_k EJAE went from being told her voice wasn’t good enough to winning a Golden Globe. ⁠ ⁠ She trained under SM Entertainment for nearly 10 years starting at age 11 but never debuted and was eventually dropped. After taking a break to finish her studies, she moved to the US and graduated from NYU Tisch, then rebuilt her career as a songwriter and producer. ⁠ ⁠ Her big break came when she co-wrote Red Velvet’s hit “Psycho,” which opened the door to more major projects.
