Learning to understand your negative thoughts—and manage them healthily—can mean the difference between an average performance and an excellent one.
Over time and with support, I've learned how to recognize these thoughts. And after learning to recognize them for what they are, I've learned to shift; instead of degrading my confidence, I let them fuel me. They add to the hunger, and they make me want to be better.
Even off the track, I've learned to channel negative thoughts or self-doubts into hunger. At the gym, in my relationships, in life in general—and the outcomes are amazing.
