Strong Women~May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them. For International Women’s Day is it really any surprise that my post is of these girls. If it was... it shouldn’t be. I thought about posting a picture of myself working-but my page isn’t about images of myself. It’s about my work-so I picked my athletes to show their story. This was my second season with these girls. These pictures lead to me shooting the football team, not the other way around. Women’s sports do matter. And we need to support women’s sports just as much as the men’s sports. I’m glad I was able to watch these girls get their rings! And photograph all their goal celebrations, especially when they looked to the sidelines for me to make sure I was getting every second. They played for themselves and also their principal, who is battling cancer. “Do it for Mrs. Lundberg” and “KTA” became a common refrain at games. And they did it.
