Sometimes social media makes it seem like everyone has tons of clients, is charging hundreds and hundreds of dollars per service and has a waitlist of people they can’t fit in. While I think it’s certainly possible to reach that level early on, I wouldn’t say it’s the norm. I made very little money in the first few years of my career (I would say after year 5 things started to improve, after year 8 I felt really comfortable financially) and I was constantly questioning my choice to do hair because I felt extremely defeated and frustrated.
