🔥WHAT WOULD YOU DO?🔥 Repost from atlantaprofirefighters • 01/02/23- Shortly after 1:00PM, Atlanta Firefighters responded to the Westin Hotel Downtown for a reported structure fire. atlantafirerescue crews arrived to find flames showing from the antenna atop the 73 story building. Engine 6 made the roof to find a radio transmitter affixed high on the antenna on fire with molten plastic dropping down to the rooftop below. This caused an area of the roof’s rubber membrane to also catch fire. Power was isolated to the antenna’s burning component and that fire ultimately burned itself out.
