Special Olympics Oregon held a Polar Plunge event to raise money and awareness for their athletes at Maurie Jacobs Park on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, in Eugene, Oregon. It began with a 5K, followed by an individual and team costume contest. It ended with around 100 people running into the freezing Willamette River.
