Tbh I grew up believing carbs were the enemy
Avoiding them and feeling guilt when I ate “too many” bc I watched my mom follow Atkins & thought everyone needed to eat low carb to feel (and look) their best
Healing my own relationship with food + my body wasn’t only for myself, but for my kids. To have successful pregnancies after experiencing losses, and to genuinely model a healthy relationship with food for them
I don’t want my kids thinking any food needs to be earned, burned, or regretted. Or that they need to be “strict” like mommy once was
I want them to feel confident and strong in their own bodies, knowing all foods have a place - for nourishment & enjoyment
Our kids deserve the best, not just with ingredients but also in the messages we send about food & their bodies
And we can make BOTH happen without labeling foods “bad”
Parenting is hard enough, and adding food guilt + overwhelm makes it even harder (esp with all the noise online)
